【摘要】:1.1Thisconsumersafetyspecificationcoverstheslipresistanceofbathtubsandshowerstructuresorcombinations,usedforbathingorshowering,orboth,hereinreferredtoasbathingfacilities.1.2Thisspecificationestablishesdefinitions,methodsoftestingtheslipresistanceofbathingfacilities,andthein-useperformancerequirementsneededtominimizetheaccidentscausedbyslipperinessduringanyreasonableuse.1.3Thisconsumersafetyspecificationisintendedtodescribeameanstoreduceaccidentstopersons,especiallychildrenandtheaged,resultingfromtheuseofbathingfacilities.Thefollowingsafetyhazardscaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodportion,Section8,ofthisspecification.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
